Hi. I have installed J3 from Quickstart and the front page looks like this

On Gavick demo page I can see nice full image home page like this

Can you help me how to set the page layout so it looks like on demo please? Thank you.

Hello,

Are you sure that you have installed the quickstart, not the template package? I've just installed the quickstart and it looks like the demo but with blank images.

You're correct you're, instead of images there would be blank images indeed.
However the problem is not the images, but the layout and this is why I have taken it from your site - to make my question as clear as possible.
I'm asking how to set the front/home page to show as per yours. Thank you.

You wrote that you have installed a quickstart, but it seems that you have set the template not quickstart. In this case the only solution is put the module on the mainbody module position and use a configuration described here: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... figuration in section:

Module title:Frontpage mode I
Module position:mainbody
Module suffix:frontpage-overlay
Configuration screenshots: Module details Module configuration

Your issue was caused by fact that you have few frontpages and defaultly the english one is displayed, but you didn't assigned a module to it. I've done it and additionally I've added for the english home menu item under the Features section in the template settings the "frontpage fixed-content" page suffixes.

Thank you Dziudek for finding the issue with front page/menu. I have two questions:

I have noticed you've added "frontpage fixed-content" suffix in template settings for both main menu pages. Could you please explain what "frontpage fixed-content" suffix actually does? I'm having trouble changing front page - is this related?

Can you please explain the role and differences of MAIN MENU and MAIN MENU ENG-GB? Does MAIN MENU item in multi language installation becomes obsolete as per picture?

frontpage fixed-content page suffix creates a space for loading a module in the fixed view. If you have changed frontpage, you have to also change menu item for these suffixes under the features tab.

You still have to had a main menu as joomla needs to have a homepage menu item which is not defined for a specific language.
