Tags url

How to make the url for tags be like this:

www.nameofthewebsite.com/tags/water
www.nameofthewebsite.com/tags/clouds

for Joomla? I know that this is easily done in WP with Wordpress SEO by Yoast, but with Joomla (unfortunately I only have Joomla templates here and not the possibility to get the Wordpress one of Writer) the urls for tags are terrible.

Any idea on how to fix them? (and also, eventually on how make them like this: www.nameofthewebsite.com/t/water, so basically changing the /tags/ to another name)
