This is an effect that is present on all items . There is a light zoom and filter ( gray). This does not exist on the thumbnails in the ( sidebar ) . thank you

Did you checked my solution ? It removes layer from home page.
Modules do not have dark layer/filer or I'm blind because of late hour.

To remove dark filter from K2 items image:
.single-page .itemImageBlock::after {background: transparent !important;}

About zoom effect in module. Use following code to remove:

.nspImageWrapper img {
transform: scale(1) !important;
}

Super I managed well for K2 items , but regarding the views managed by hospitality and portfolio plugin. I do not see a setting in the plugin?

Me too , because I don't have idea about plugin we are talking about.
Most effects were based on article or k2 items views and they don't have settings like most extension you may know.
So it's little bit limited solution.

To remove dark filter from K2 items image:

hi oscar, i'd already tried the custom css code area on the template manager and it didn't work.
that's why i was asking...
i'll keep trying to figure out why.
