Newsletter does not send

I've searched for "newsletter" and it seems that a lot of people were fooled just like me by the newsletter module, which is just there to look pretty and does not work. Why don't you say it in the documentation ? No words about it in the documentation. This is very very very irritating, I can tell you that. I almost wanted to break something after spending 30 min looking.

Now what do you recommend to use as a third party module to work with this design ? You could at least show us an implementation of a third party newsletter solution that works with you design. I'm not bashing you or anything, I know you guys work hard, but put yourself in the position of your clients, this can be very annoying to have to spend hours trying to find a third party newsletter solution, then knowing where to put what... and so on.

Just a long post, to tell you how irritating this is.
