module position top1 - making it fullwidth

I've been stuck on this for hours. I really wish it were a little easier to modify these templates. You think it's mostly right and choose it to save some time but ends up taking way way longer .

I need the top1 position to be full width at all sizes. Please help?

try:

#gkTop1 {max-width: 100%;}

or 96% also is almost okay.
BTW Your bg IMG is too high in my opinion.
About 2nd request, I agree... but sometimes using a addcional tools may help much more, than you could expect.
