custom fields create problems

i added some my own custom fields to some of my speakers' pages. i created the custom fields as shown here:https://www.gavick.com/documentation/themes-docs/events/customize/. After creating these new custom fields, all of my Turkish (second language of my site) speakers' pages changed into English (first language of my site). I recreated those pages. But now, whenever i make a small change and update the custom field in one of the spreakers' pages, my Turkish pages automoatically becomes English again. So i have to recreate the same pages again and again. And they are amost 40 now and will be more.... What causes the problem? How can i avoid it? http://itef.kalemkultur.com/?page_id=740&lang=tr

some more relevant info:

when i first created my pages i followed this steps:
1. i created a speakers page in English
2. inside this page, i clicked on 'duplicate' and the duplicated version was transfered into the Turkish pages section
3. i put Turkish content inside this duplicated versions and updated.

now the problem is whenever i update the English version, Turkish page is also updated automatically. before clicking on update i definitely tick the little box next to this line: minor edit- dont update translation. Although i dont want to update the trasnlated page, it updates it as well. Is that because i created those pages by duplicating?

PS: this is not a problem with custom fields, the heading was result of an early diagnosis. sorry if it is misleading...

well, yes it was because of the duplication. my problem ended when i clicked on 'translate independently' button on duplicated pages....

as i could not delete this post (which is resolved), i felt that i should inform about the solution
