Our new company site based on this template is finished.
One major issue, and I can't put my finger on it.
We have 2 languages installed Dutch and English.
There are 2 "routes" to get to an article:
1. by menu
2. by News Show Pro on the home page. (In the Gavick demo site this is the: Upcoming Events module)

Dutch works fine.

English:
Navigation through the menu gets the article and the main menu English is visible
Navigation through News Show Pro gets the article and the main menu English is NOT visible

Example:
Go to: http://www.newhersystems.nl
On the left hand side click the English flag. Website reloads to the English version
Scroll down until Main menu in the top gets visible.
Choose: Apps / Apps by NewHer in the Main menu
In the next screen choose Volkswagen DAS.
The Volkswagen DAS article opens and the menu is visible.
http://www.newhersystems.nl/index.php/en/apps-5/newher-apps-en/item/361-volkswagen-das-app
In the url bar of the browser you can see this is article with ID: 361 (361-volkswagen-das-app)

Go back to homepage English.
Scroll down to the 3th block on the page. This is the "Apps" block with a green background.
This is build with 3 News Show Pro modules within a Tabs GK5 module
Choose the app: Commercial / Volkswagen DAS
The same Volkswagen DAS article opens and the menu is NOT visible.
http://www.newhersystems.nl/index.php/en/component/k2/item/361-volkswagen-das-app
In the url bar of the browser you can see this is the same article with ID: 361 (361-volkswagen-das-app)

It appears it has something to do with a language setting, but all language settings are correct in the backend.

If you repeat this choosing Dutch on the homepage it all works fine.
Help is appreciated.

Hi

Dutch and English pages has a different Itemid, so You need to attache menu module to both this IDs.

It can also be related with a lack of Itemid. Than please take a look at this article: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... ks-working

Maybe I don't understand your solution.
Menu module attached -> same problem.
Extra menu added to articles -> same problem.

Found it. It is a Joomla behaviour issue.
For those who bump into the same issue:

Template Manager:Styles
The language setting is in the same menu as the Default setting.
If you initially set your language to, by example, English, and you click in the Template Manager:Styles view in the Default column, the template change from the language (English) to Default. Once you select an other Template as the default (example: your second language template), it won't switch back to the language you had chosen before...

It's just very strange depending on the route you choose, via the menu you have the article with menu, via News Show Pro the menu is missing. Anyhow, this solves the problem.

Hi

Yes, that's how joomla works. You need landing pages for articles or it will not have itemid and no modules will be possible to attach.
But landing pages should be created in every language separately.

Anyway if it works for You with templates than it's fine as well.
