Header Module Background Image

Hello:

I've a similar/same problem. I've actually used quick start, but the background picture on the header module doesn't show up. Even after I replaced it numerous times. I've also tried override in the CSS and it doesn't work. I've also replaced the original "grey" background image in the template (GK_event) with my desired background image. Still doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

My URL is : www.teletecsystems.ca

Thank you

Hello:

I've tried pretty much everything, and still having problem replacing the image on the header. I have done the following:

1. I replaced the "header_bg.jpg" with my own image, but still shows the grey background.

2. Then, I went to the Template CSS and replace the following line in the TEMPLATE.css

.frontpage #gkHeader {
background: url('../images/MY_OWN_HEADER.jpg') no-repeat center top;
background-attachment: fixed;

But, then the background becomes white instead showing the image.

I've also gone to the Header Module and changed the image under Option - Image Background, eventhough it shows on the preview it doesn't publish. I've been struggling with this for a while, and I've installed a quickstart to make sure the theme works.

On a separate note: I need to remove the "EVENT HOURS" in the front page under the title of each event (the blue background section of my website), any tips will be greatly appreciated.

my url is www.teletecsystems.ca

Thanks again

From what I see you were able to deal with the image issue. Perhaps it was some cache issue?
To deal with Event Hours...
Please edit: /templates/gk_events/css/override.css and add at its end:
Code: Select all
.gkEventInfo > div > small {display: none;}

Remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.

Thanks Cyberek. I did enable the Override. However, still couldn't solve the Header background image issue. If you look at it, you would see the background is still "WHITE".

I'm suppose to have this site ready for my boss, I can figure everything out accept the problem with the header image background. Please help.

Thanks

If it goes to header image... The problem is simple:
templates/gk_events/images/header_chef.jpg
this image doesn't exist on your server.

Hi Cyberek:

I think it's some sorta suffix issues. How do I assign it?

Thanks

No, you are missing a file, it is not on ftp server at all:
http://www.teletecsystems.ca/templates/ ... r_chef.jpg
you get 404.

Hey:..

This is weird. I've uploaded the new file unde3r : templates >> gk_events >> images >> header_chef.jpg and it should've worked as it says the file has been uploaded and it's there.

Unless, I'm uploading this file at a wrong place (which I might have been) because I have replaced the header_bg.jpg with my own image, but http://www.teletecsystems.ca/templates/ ... r_bg.jpg actually still shows the default background.

Why can't i not just simply replace the image it shows on the demo header background ? It's not the header_bg but an image of a speaker with an audience?? That's what I did for all other backgrounds (Module >> image background >> upload the image and select for the background).

Thanks again man

You could replace the original image but somehow you are replacing wrong one. Or maybe you have some weird cache issues on your server? Please contact you hosting company support, they should give you the answer right away.
