Changing the Article Template

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to change the position of the author avatar and star rating from the right to the left of the article - above the date etc on the left. Then have the article make use of the space created on the right?

Sadly this kind of change require some not that minor changes that will be 100% overwritten when you update the template. Also if you would like to do it the way it doesn't break some k2 functionalities (in k2 articles you can turn on/off sidebars) - it would require a lot of template changes - and that kind of customisation is beyond our technical support.

I don't mind breaking some k2 functionalities and I'm not going to be updating the template either. Would you mind sharing this method?
