Upgrades to JomSocial & University theme messes up content

I have been having issues in getting University theme & JomSocial to behave like shown in the demos. I thought that maybe it was because I didn't have the latest version of the University Theme, Joomla or JomSocial. So, I have upgraded to University Theme 3.19 & JomSocial 4.16 Pro & now theme background images are not displaying like they did before the upgrade. University template modules are squished on the home page (Find a Club on right side, Stay Connected towards bottom where the Social icons are.) I am also unable to change the default theme icons from the graduation cap to a different one. I changed the editor to "none" to be able to change the html.

The JomSocial frontpage image does not show default image or the one I changed it to. Items on JomSocial frontpage are squished & do not display properly. I have the pro version of JomSocial & should be able to change the frontpage image as well as other customizations, however since upgrading, these do not work. It shows on the backend that the image I want is there, but it does not display on frontpage. I have used Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome. I contacted JomSocial & they say it is a third party extension & say: "please contacting GK template provider for more support. they having CSS that override jomsocial CSS. here the CSS location: /templates/gk_university/css/jomsocial.css.

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website, either here or via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? It is a lot easier for us to diagnose issues when we have a live site to examine.

Hi

It's working now. I remember this page and I also remember that we have put some work to it already. I do not remember what exactly, but start from using old override.css file since I always put all changes to layout there.

I will need an access to joomla panel and ftp. Also please tell me where are jomsocial pages, because I cannot find them at all. Have You disabled them ?

Best would be to describe some of the problems with showing where they are so I'll be able to deal with them one by one.

I unpublished the JomSocial because it did not display properly. I don't know what changes you made to the css files previously, however, when the upgrades were made, they must have been overwritten.
Please let me know how I can give you more detailed information.

Hi

Ok. Finally were able to check. Looks like site works when I do not use "www" in url.

Now I will need an access to joomla panel and FTP to be able to enable social section and make sume changes to it.

Please let me know how to get the ftp information to you privately as the Private message function here does not seem to work. You actually have the ftp information already from previous issues. I would be most grateful if you can sort out why the JomSocial does not work after the updates.

PM does work, but I'm receiving a dozen accesses daily, so I'm clearing them every week so in case of loosing my computer no one will be able to take advantage of that.
