I've run a test and page speed is not that bad. Problems pointed out by https://developers.google.com/speed/pag ... ab=desktop are mostly related to server and number of files used. Try using some compression and cache options in joomla and template to deal with the site related tasks. That should be enough to make it work fast enough.
