Homepage Events Module

Is there a way to change the Latest Events module that appears on the homepage to Latest Articles and keep the same styling?

This module is displaying K2 items, which are more of an article than event. It's just the extra html added into it making it display like event, so it's already doing what You are asking about.

When I switch it to display Joomla articles, I lose the styling however. How would I be able to keep the styling (the calendar box to left of articles and have it display latest articles?

I'm afraid You can't. This module was made to mimic events and the only article system to imitate that was K2. Most of the predesigned styles for NSP module was for one article system to server one purpose only. That's why we called predesigned styles. You can us K2 items with it still and just hide the part which was supposed to be taked from extra html.

It will be more useful to integrate this module with jomsocial events.

I'll drop this idea to programmers. I believe some styles are using this source already, so it may not be that time taking to add.
