Jomsocial v4.1.1 gkUniversity v3.18.1 Joomla v3.4.5

I've applied the recently updated University joomla theme v3.18.1 that is supposed to be compatible with JomSocial 4.1.1 only to be disappointed again that the latest Gavick theme update still does not respect the Jom Social Theme Designer settings.

How can the old gk University 3.15 template respect new jomSocial features (stream on Left or Right, colors, etc.) better than the previous two "jomsocial compatible" updates of the same template? Can you please provide any insight to what is needed to fix the Gavick theme so it works properly with JomSocial?

Maybe some of the styling was overwritten to match template colors. I need to know exactly what You need my help with.

If You are looking to use a default Jomsocial styling than try rename /html/com_community in template to /html/_com_community.

Since the release of JomSocial v4, there's a new configuration panel within JomSocial (for colors, avatar styling, and feature locations, like Activity Stream on Right or Left) called Theme Designer and Gavick's "JomSocial compatible" theme University v3.15 respected these settings. I could see the color modifications for stream background, menu colors, header colors, tab colors, activity stream on Right instead of default Left. Once updated to 3.17 (and again on 3.18) these settings were no longer reflected on the front-end.

Was hoping, especially since it's still marketed as JomSocial v4 compatible, that University theme v3.18.1 would begin to recognize and respect these new feature settings within JomSocial again.

Tried your suggestion of temporarily renaming com_community but doing so has no affect. Can you please assist in determining what edits need to be made so things shown in screenshots will look consistent in older 3.15 theme and 3.18.1 theme?

All I can do is to pass this information to programmers if style is not compatible with component, but strange thing is that You cannot see any difference after renaming /html/com_community. This action should disable template overrides and use default files coming with JomSocial component directly.

I have a reply from programmers. They said that theme designer was never supported and there are no plans to change it since we are already presenting a template with a design prepared on our side.

Anyway programmers has compared Your screens with a live website using this versions of joomla/template/jomsocial and thay can say it does not look same. Which means that some of the inconsistencies may be coming from some 3rd party extension or because of customisation.
