Link to "Home" not showing modules

I downloaded and installed the University Template Yesterday along with there additional language packs for the front end. German is the default language.
When I open the site via the backend links I am taken to: http://localhost/QMP/index.php/de/ - this does not show the whole template features. Adding http://localhost/QMP/index.php/de/HOME - however brings the template back in as it should look. How can I get the default address to encompass the HOME addition at the end of the link?
Any help would be great as this is doing my nut!!!

I think Your new home pages for other languages are missing a page class suffix "frontpage" please add it as shown in this example: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... omla-pages
