Recommended image size for K2 items and best settings

My site is http://www.3cushionbilliards.com. I am using University template. I have been posting articles as K2 items with an image. I have several module positions in the site where I am using News Show Pro GK5 including front page. I notice that the images I have used appear fuzzy and unclear in several places. I believe this has to do with the settings I am using for image size, and the actual size and resolution of the images I have uploaded. So here are my questions:

What is the optimal size and resolution of an image to upload in a K2 item that will produce the clearest on screen look for all different sizes - L, M, S, XS? Is there a minimum size that must be used?

What are the best settings to use in K2 parameters/images for width for each different size?

Are there other places where I need to make image size entries to improve the look of the site? (News Show Pro GK5, K2 Categories)

I am not sure how all these different settings interact and which takes precedence. Since the site is very new, and I am just now adding content, I want to ensure I use the correct settings and standards to make the site look great!

I am posting once more to ask for a little advice...

I have a lifetime subscription and use several templates... each one has a slightly different setup on the image size parameters. I don't know why. My concern is that my latest site http://www.3cushionbilliards.com looks very bad with fuzzy images on the front page news (News Show Pro GK5)...

I would like to know what the right combination of actual image size (and resolution) and the image size parameters to enter for the various sized images that K2 creates and uses in the modules to ensure the images are clear not fuzzy.

I believe Your issue is a setting in NSP directly. In Additional K2 settings please select to use Large or XLarge image to create a module images for articles.

Thanks... is there a recommended image size and resolution that I must use to upload that will ensure all images in the module, article itself, thumbnails. remain clear. Some images seem to work but most do not..

All depends what place this images will be used. If it's an image for background in the slider than it will resize to the width of user's screen. A most common screen size according to Googls is 1920px, so using an image of 1600px even after resizing will look fine. If it's for an article where sidebars has not been used than a maximum image size which can be displayed is 1200px. Which means images around 1000px fill do. In Your case where You have both sidebars enabled maximum space where image can be displayed is 660px, so using images close to 600px will look fine in articles and after being processed in modules.
