Custom HTML - menu assignment tab is missing

try to update template
or
rename that folder gk_university\html\mod_custom -- and check again.

I agree that we overridden gk_university\html\mod_custom\default.php file
but it has this same code since 09.2014 and you are first person who has that problem.

I have lots of problems unique to me

The studio doesn't have time to troubleshoot the reason the template update didn't work, and reinstalling the existing one makes me nervous, now, too. I will try replacing the mod_custom folder from a localhost build.

In past I saw weird modules, but this is default joomla module so in theory it should look like in core Joomla - in particular if we talk about admin side.
