Joomla 3.4.1
University Template - Latest version (April release)
Jomsocial 4.0.3

Jomsocial front page looks "squished" -- please advise. Is there a fix or a workaround? See attached image

I have taken the site down for maintenance. I'm happy to provide login credentials.

I see this module completely fine, please check your browser in incognito / private mode - perhaps it is some strange cache issue.

Hello - thank you. I was able to sort that one out, but still having what seems to be a template issue. The jomsocial front page has a giant blank area above it. I can't figure out what's going on here. And the buttons are not aligned right - see attached. Thank you for your help.

I don't see this issue on a homepage - should I click something?

Click the "Community" menu item. It's the jomsocial frontpage. Thank you for your help.

Please edit: /templates/gk_university/css/override.css and add at its end:
Code: Select all
.jomsocial-guest #gkPageContent {margin-top: 0px !important;}

Remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.

Safesaxglasgow, Isn't that just the "Front page image" setting within JomSocial configuration?

Cyberek, should I just re-do my upgrade process and leave the directory com_community within the html dir? If this dudes site is working with circular avatars, then perhaps it is possible

Are you referring to upgrading of template or jomsocial?

I'm referring to the template.

But my current situation is this... I'm running a site that needs both JomSocial and the Gavick theme updated, so the BIGGER question is:

Does it matter which I update first? Is it better to update the template first proceeded by updating JomSocial? Or is it better to update JomSocial first, then update University template?

* And do I leave the html_community directory or do I remove it?

Thank you

There is already a similar thread here:
https://www.gavick.com/forums/universit ... tars-46388
where one of our devs answers similar question. Could we stick to that thread?

No problem, just helping others to find "the right place" to search for the answer :)

Cyberek,

Regarding the OP, I've tried our site in normal browser mode and incognito mode, both look the same. Problem of University v3.15 squished avatars exists in all browsers, first time visit, no caching involved... any thoughts on a fix for this problem if using University template version 3.15 with JomSocial v4 ?

Posting here as this is most relevant place...other post you mentioned is for University theme version 3.17.1

Thanks

From what I see from this thread:
https://www.gavick.com/forums/universit ... tars-46388
circled avatars are not part of template or original jomsocial view.

Am I correct?
