Not able to load quick start

Hello,
We have all the requirements loaded but we can't seem to install the quick start version of the theme we just bought University in version 3.3 for some reason.
When we go to the folder LOCAL HOST/MY_SITE a message appears saying "this version of joomla must use php 5.3.10" we have tried with all versions of php and nothing works.
Please help....

Which version de XAMPP should we be using?
We've tried everything it seems....should it be this hard or are we doing something wrong?

Hi

Do You mean that even installing PHP later than 5.3.10 is still showing this error ? Try call phpinfo(); to see what PHP version is used.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your help with this.
We know what version of php it is, we are using 5.4.25 and it doesn't work.
We have also tried every version of php from 5.3.10 until 5.4.25 and quick start doesn't work with any of them.
We are not sure what to do now. Is it us? Or is there a problem with the template?
Please let us know if you have any advice, we have been days with this now, installing and uninstalling xampp, we're going a little nuts with it! :/

Hi

Sorry for delay. I broke my computer and could not work for the last couple of days.

Noone else reports this template not working and I've seen couple of university templates installed and working just today. Try set the error showing level in php.ini file to maximum, so maybe the error message reveals what the problem is.
