Upgrading from 2.5 to 3.3. How to?

Hey everyone. I need to move existed site from J2.5 to J3.3 with all content. Is it so easy as just connecting old sql to J3.3?

Please read carefully this site:

While updating you will have to download J3.x version of the template and install it.
You also might replace some plugins that worked with 2.x with those which 3.x support.

Thank you. I understand that I need to use J3.x version of the template but I'm worried about template and modules settings. They need to be re-configured or settings will be saved? How to to keep settings of all site?

It might be required to reconfigure some settings again.
I would strongly suggest to create a working backup of the site (files and db) and if any problems occurs - use it as a guide on setting up new template/plugins.
Also - after the update, please let us know if it went well and if you had any problems.

Thank you, I will. But we've decided to move 2.5 version to another hosting at first cause we have no enough time to solve possible problems. And after that start to work under 3.x version.
