Homepage news, can it pull data from articles instead of K2

Is there a way to get the styling the same if we pull the data from Joomla articles instead of K2. I am setting up from scratch as I need to keep all the data from the previous site but when I select the data source to be Joomla article, news pro does not collect the date and time etc... is there a mod that can be made to grab the data across.??

Did you put the same event data HTML structure as in the K2 articles?

Is this done with K2 extra fields? ... So back to the question. Can I adjust the template to grab the info from the article publish date and intro text instead?

No it is done with custom html code so it can be reproduced on joomla com_content component. Retrieving the article publish date and intro text needs a custom work for the module which is beyond of our standard technical support.
