Problems between GK News & Easyblog

I have created a module (laughology blog) on the home page of my site to display Easy Blog posts.

When you click any of the posts it will display the post, but also the home page modules above the post which forces the post down the screen - unlike when you click on the 'blog' main menu link, which displays the blog in the correct manner.

We have attached a visual.

This is what our IT dept. says:

I discovered the issue is not within the component, but the News Show Pro GK5 module. I have gone over each little single configuration item and I can't find a way to add the Blog's menu item ID.

Currently you have the News Show Pro GK5 assigned to the Homepage menu, it shows on frontpage, and so, every time you click a post link it shows on frontpage too. If you (for testing purposes), assign the News Show Pro GK5 module to any other menu item, and you click a post link, it will show under such menu item. What the module does, is that it takes the menu item of the menu it has been assigned to, and uses it as the target for displaying the selected post.

Therefore when published on homepage it shows the post under homepage.

It seems like this is an on going issue, see many of the posts I found (none with a real solution to this problem).

I even went over all the issues they list here (open and closed): https://github.com/GavickPro/News-Show-Pro-GK5

This is what I suggest:
if you have a Gavick account, ask them for help, as I think their module is the problem.
Otherwise, contact Easy Blog guys, they should be able to help too.

If that fails, I could hack the module and make it work, but then my hack would need to be re applied every time you update the News Show Pro GK5 module.

Do you have any suggestions?

Excellent - worked well, thanks.

Will the extension be updated to incorporate this change, in future?
