Hi,

I'm trying to replicate the Login button from the DEMO site
and have been trying to put in place the "gkLogin" suffix, but I cannot get it to work

I have created a menu item in the main menu "login" which is a login item
I have created a module named login also

What have I missed?
I get the login to take me to the login page which is OK
But I would like to get the red square around and the pop-up to work

Sincerely

The mod_login module is published on 'login' position? Could you show us your website?

It's a testsite still under construction
http://2014.hsf.fi/joomla

Have just put up the site and starting to make the layout.
Wanted to get the menus ok first.

Thanks

This is what is confusing
by the way I'm using Joomla 3.3.1
-------------
BUTTON "LOG IN"
Menu bar

The "Log in" button is created when the menu item has class gkLogin defined in the GK Additional Menu Parameters. This CSS class creates a connection between menu item and the login popup. Please remember to publish the module on the login module position in order to get working popup.

This would be nice:

The newest change is adding in the template language file phrase: TPL_GK_LANG_MYACCOUNT - this phrase is displayed instead of the menu item with gkLogin class when user is logged in and defaultly is displayed as "My Account".

BUT how do I manage to get it working ??
As my signature says - I'm not a very experienced user - just an architect getting things done ;-)

---------------

This is what is configured now (see attachments)
and i've tried putting the text "gkLogin" at different class places

How to fix?
and perhaps get the additional feature of "My Account" as stated in the last post

Please look at this log-in menu item settings » screenshot. The class is added in our menu plugin settings which as I can see is not installed on your website. You will find this extension in rest_files package in template download page. The menu visible after login is a menu published on usermenu position, like on image here » screenshot

Did you consider to use quickstart package? There you will get all configured which even makes easier to reproduce this settings on your working website.

Thanks for the quick response
I have installed the packages from the rest_files folder. If I try to reinstall them it says they are installed. The menus are still not showing like in your screenshot. The extra menu part in the conf page is not there
I did try to install the quick start package on the temp website AND on my local computer running MAMP, but nothing showed up
I did a fresh install of latest joomla 3.3.1 and K2 + the quick start package

No problem at all, if you use quickstart package it will be easier for your to compare this settings.
