Is News Show Pro GK 5 broke?

Trying to get one of the Module style settings in News Show 5:

Centered title overlay - only one image shows in gallery, although I have it set for amount of news 10 and columns 3
News block - when I reduce the size of the screen the main tile in each block breaks, even though I have responsive switched on.
Portfolio II - Cant control the size of the pop-up or the images. The pop-up is wide but shallow so it crops the image, but the image is also stretched to the width of the pop-up - as a consequence it is pixelated.

Am I missing something, is there a setting somewhere I am not aware of or are there instructions which take you through each setting?

Centered title overlay - it displays always one article, because it is dedicated to create grid layouts on multiple module positions
News block - it can be a problem with the template CSS conflict - we are not support all portal modes in every templates, so it can needs some CSS adjustments for this case - please provide an URL to page with this problem then I'll be able to help you.
