Can you help me with the news module styling on the home page. specifically getting the backgrounds to match the demo for the link1&2 area. I have settings the same as demo and started with a quickstarter. I also have a separate quickstart fro reference. Tried to figure it out with firebug but stuck.

Do you mean this area? screenshot If yes I see there overrided default styles which probably cause most of your problems.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, that is the area I'm talking about. I've disabled overrides in the template settings and the still exists. Not getting the same styling as the link1&2 areas of the demo for NEWS module on home page.

I also did a compare of my css files from the original quickstart and they are all the same.

overrides are still turned off in template settings.

I think that your module configuration is just different than the default template one, please review you configuration with this configuration details → https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wp-content/templates-config/University/modules/bottom1/News-Show-Pro-GK5-738-tabs.png

Thanks, I just compared again and they are the same. I did this a few times before posting.

I've also wrote out a news.json configuration from my other quickstart demo and loaded that.

I'm confused, the css is the same and config is the same.

Notice also that the second article mouse over zoom is not working. It seems like there might be some broken code in the module output?

I can give you a login to check.

I have one more question - did you change the template width or it is like with our demo version? Maybe difference in main container width cause this issue.

No changes to template width. I've tried to make very little changes from the original quickstart. I've had to turn back on my overrides now because the site is live, but the issue exists with or without overrides on.

I've copied a confi.json from a standalone quickstart and also compared NSP css files to be the same. This is very strange.

There is one more thing that may cause this issue, you HOME menu item has the suffix frontpage? If not please apply it using Suffix for pages feature in template configuration. Please also check News Show Pro settings and disable Keep aspect ratio in thumbnails configuration.

adding the suffix didn't do anything, nor was it applied on the quickstart reference that I have.

SUCCESS!!!

I turned off all the NSP5 modules and then turned each on and disabled "Use default CSS" on all modules, except for my NSP Gallery.

So yes, I'm totally confused on what is going on here but at least I have it working now. Thank you for your help! :D

This is caused by the fact that template use overrided CSS styles for NSP, this is exactly what I wrote to your in PM message to disable in every single NSP module "Use default CSS" feature.
