Unable to disable only modules from homepage

Hi,

When i try recreate the article page like its done on the Demo.
> Categories on the left
> Calendar on the right
> Comments on the right
> Search on the right

Everything looks perfect. But the problem is that i see the modules as well on the homepage. When I disable the modules form the homepage, they are no longer visible from the articles which were opened via the homepage.

Any ideas?
