Activate Pagination links for Slideshow on frontpage

For my new Website i want to have a simple pagination for the slideshow items.
It should look like the pagination as in StoreFront or Music State.

How can i activate the pagination and add the pagination to the template?

Sorry but university uses different engine for NewsShow Pro and pagination is not coded into.
