Storefront demo data not imported?

Hi - I've got a Wordpress 4.4 install with the Gavick Storefront theme on my test site www.diy-sprinter-rv.com. I followed the instructions for installing the demo data (from https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wo ... stallation), using the gk_storefront_quickstart.zip file (28.1 MB). That file unpacks as the "gk_storefront_quickstart_WP_44" folder dated Dec 16/2015.

However, when the install completes, the install has the Storefront theme active, but no demo data. The media library is empty, there's only 1 page and 1 post. I've wiped it and tried it twice, but no data.

Does the latest version of this file actually contain the demo data?

Did you solve the issue? Because I can see demo articles on your websites - all demo images are replaced into blank/gray images because of the license.

Hi Piotr - Thanks for your reply. I have managed to get the demo data into the site by manually importing the storefront.xml file, since the Storefront quickstart file didn't seem to work. And it's good to know about the images, I was wondering about that. I still don't understand what the purpose of the storefront_config.json file is, does that add settings for the demo content as well?

I understand that Gavic sells many themes, so you need to make the purchase process scalable - however, I would say the confirmation/thank-you e-mail is a great place for hyperlinks to the theme setup documentation. It's nice to not have to dig around for information if it could be easily found right in your inbox after purchase.

Yes, the storefront_config.json file is used to impor/export theme settings (StoreFront -> Template Options).
