Image show not working

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting the image show to work in the header position.
When I installed the quickstart 3.0 files, I got a VM error. So I installed the latest VM again and everything seemed to be working, except for the image show. It just keeps on loading. I've tried to install the module again, but still have no luck.

Hopefully you guys can help me out.

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website and back-end access via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? It is a lot easier for us to diagnose issues when we have a live site to examine.

Is not the purpose of this forum for problem solving and gleaning from others' issues and resolutions how to resolve our issues. Cuz it is real frustrating to finally come here and find PM as a solution. That helps no one but the PMer.

I have downloaded and installed quickstart version. That broke on installation so I had to install Joomla alone first, then storefront. So the quickstart package does not work and should not be available for download, leaving us to believe it works -- cuz it dont.

Next, Now that I have Joomla and storefront installed -- Image Show in the header position runs in perpetual "loading" cycle. I have language in the database and en-GB is present. So what am I to do to get Image Show working. I am working on my desktop using WAMP thus I cant provide a url. The version is latest Joomla 3. version and latest Image Show version.

@revemotion I've just visited Your site and slider works correctly. I've tried adding new slide and it works as well. Can You please share a solution to this problem with other users ?

@Cheri what problem You have during quickstart installation ? I think You may have a problem with VM predefined content, it's a common issue and we have prepared an article about how to fix it:

I'm sorry teitbite, but that's not correct.

The slider works now yes, but I didn't have anything to do with that. Only after I've sent you a pm, the slider started working shortly after that.

I'm not telling it was working all the time, but to tell what the problem is I need to see it broken to come up with a solution. Now there is not much I can do since it works. Let me know if problem will happen again.

I agree with you a 100% and awaiting support's reply to my questions also as my installation is also buggy!

You posted that jut 3 minutes since Your last message I'm fast, but not that fast. I've already discovered why Image Show is not working on Your site. It was because of NSP misconfiguration breaking the javascript which was causing a conflict with other extensions.

Since Image Show code is only used after a page is completely loaded it's pretty much vulnerable to any conflicts. So in 90% cases it's not an Image Show itself, but some other extension affecting it. A way to find which one is to start disabling module after module. The last unpublished before it will start work again is to blame and needs a closer look.

I have a fresh install of Storefront (quickstart). I had to use the support post to get it installed correctly, but the installation is complete, but the Image Show GK4 module in the header position does not display an image. It is showing a perpetual pre-loader.

I've combed through the forum. There are several posts on this topic, but I've not been able to find a conclusive solution. This thread seems to have the best chance of success.

Any thoughts?
