Change Product Grid View to List View

This is something that's normally available in Virtuemart. I want to be able to change the default view of products in a category from grid view to list view.

I noticed the icons that are normally at top right to switch the view on the front end aren't even there. It seems also that in the file located at templates/gk_storefront/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php any code that used to be in that file for VM regarding list/grid views is completely missing.

Please advise.

Just to be sure - if you change template to default Beeze/Protostar - those icons are there?

Sorry, I was not very clear. No, the icons for changing Grid/List view are not there even when changing to the default templates (Beez/Protostar). What I meant is that with a standard VM install, those icons are always there. Storebox is obviously using an override for the default.php file where the code for those icons would normally be, but it seems that code was deleted from the customized default.php. Just trying to figure out what needs to be done to get that code back in there and set the list view as the default.

I really need help with this issue. Can anyone please help?

This function was removed from our templates by design. The only thing I can do is to ask for this as a feature request but if devteam will decide to implement this feature, it will teak a while (at least till next template update release) to be implemented.

Understood. Not a big deal using the grid view. Only issue is the last item is flowing to its own row regardless of how many products are on the last row. Supposed to allow 4 products in a row, but if 3 are in last row, 2 will be on one row, and last product on its own row. See link:
