Hello to all.
I have installed the latest quickstart on and the onepage checkout does not work at all. Even if I ckeck the option in backend.
I dont know if it might be relevant but the backend of VM does not looks good too.

I am using Joomla 3.3.6 and VM 3.0.2

Hello,

I'll analyze this issue - regarding the back-end - unfortunately it looks not good as default.

I've checked the one-page checkout and it looks exactly as in the default joomla template - the payment and shipment selections are working directly on the checkout page instead of a separate pages.

Please check the problem in 'http://www.dimitriadis.gr/v2' It doesn't look to work.

It looks the same when the onepage feature is checked or not.

Your checkout looks exactly as it should look when one page checkout in VM3 is enabled - with one page checkout disable user will have to select payment and shipment on the additional pages.

There is something that I might not understand! In the demo there is no login form on top of the card and at the bottom there is a registration form that I do not have.

Ok, now I've found a reason of our misunderstanding - I've wrote it in other topic but not here - the plugin which adds the registration form on the checkout page for VM3 will be available for all VM3-compatible templates later this month.

I'm experiencing the same issue with the one page checkout - is there any update on when this plugin will be available?

Thanks so much :)

Has this plugin become available yet. I know that you you said "hopefully early this week" so I know that I may be a little optimistic. :D

I just read the Facebook hint of your big boss and I guess the next update will be a bigger one even I didnt notice any J3.4 problems yet. So take your time and prepare it properly...

Hello guys,

The plugin for the one page checkout in VM3 is much more complex problem than I excepted. I've make a working version and fixed a lot of founded problems, but still I'm not sure if all is working fine - for test payments all was ok, but probably there are some cases when the code needs improvements.

As we are still working on the nearest update of our templates I have plans to include this plugin in the next release if all will work properly. Currently I can provide for you my working version of the code - treat it as a beta version.

Installation is easy:

1) You should use the latest version of the Storefront template (3.15.2) and VM3 v.3.0.4 (I don't guarantee that the code will work with older versions)
2) Unzip the attached package for your Joomla! version
3) Install the plg.gkonepage.zip plugin using the Joomla! installer
4) Enable the system gk one page checkout plugin under the plugin manager
5) Make sure that the one page checkout mode is activated under your VirtueMart component settings
6) Replace your css/vm.css file with the one from the unzipped package
7) Replace your html/com_virtuemart/cart directory inside the template with the one from the unzipped package
8) Refresh your browser cache as browser can load in the cart old CSS and JS code
9) Test and provide an feedback for the plugin here :)

Unfortunately I cannot do more in this week as tommorow I'm going to WordCamp Prague and I will be back in Thursday. I will be very thankful for any feedback from your test installations - it will help me to finish this tool in the next week.

Thank you dziudek!

My first comment is that the user cannot register in this form. Can only shop as guest.
The second comment is that when the "Only registered users can checkout" is cheked in VM's configuration II get a "Invalid data entered" error message.

Hello again,

Unfortunately I have a bad news for you - after few days of debugging the issue with registration we have decided to abandon the one page checkout feature - unfortunately longer work with it became unprofitable, as we have no idea how to implement the registration feature in this case.

Of course you can still use the provided version of the code, but we have no plans to continue our work with it as we have no solution for the main issue connected with registration.
