Changing from Hikashop to Virtuemart

Hi I would like to find out my easiest way to change my site which is using Hikashop to Virtuemart 3 ?
My site in question is www.laptoptrader.co.za .
Here in South Africa we have a site called Bid or Buy which is Similar to Ebay , we sell more items on Bid or Buy than through our site .
Unfortunately Bid or Buy is not integrated with Hikashop but only with Virtuemart .
I need my site to stay the same just the Ecommerce extension to use Virtuemart .

Please advise , I do not want to start the whole site all over again .

Just re-install template with new version.

Thanks for your swift response , does this mean that I will have to build the whole site from scratch ?
Is there no way that I could keep the same site and only change Hikashop to Virtuemart ?

Haha, it's like Linux and Windows, two different software.
It means that you have to find migration tool which allows you to migrate data at least products from HS -> VM.

I know I will have to reload all items etc. I am fine with that , I mean e.g Home page , contact us page , about us page etc. will I have to rebuild all that as well ?

Each module uses different content source, so maybe wen you will change its settings it may help.
If not ....lot's of work before you.

Why are you think that VM3 is better than HikaShop?

I actually think that Hikashop is better than Virtuemart , but because I live in South Africa we have a Site " Bid or Buy " which is similar to "EBay" my client sells more products on "Bid or Buy" than on his website . "Bid or Buy" integrates with Virtuemart and not Hikashop meaning that all items on the website are easily synced once a day with " Bid or Buy " which ensures easier stock control , easier loading of items etc.

I remember that HikaShop have many versions also those with unique features.
