In the e-mail template the client receives it show the word VAT instead of IVA.
I have changed the language file field VAT="VAT" to VAT="IVA" but i still get that in the e-mail template and in the order status in the client back-end on the site.

Hello,
First of all - please try to disable the template virtuemart override by renaming directory html/com_virtuemart to html/__com_virtuemart and then please check if the phrase is changing. If not, then it will mean that it is a VirtueMart issue not the template issue.

If you mean (root)/templates/gk_storefront/html i don't have a folder called com_virtuemart and am i using the Hikashop component that is bundled with the Storefront template.

In this case please try to rename catalog html/com_hikashop to html/__com_hikashop

That does not work. Since i am using the Hikashop component I get all kinds of other problems with component (i.e. cart etc...)

So the issue comes from hikashop component directly - please contact with their support regarding this issue.

Unfortunately it seems to be an issue with hikashop - it is not our extension.

When installing the Hikashop extension for the first time, you have run the wizard where you have to give a translation of the VAT name. You can rerun the wizard: /administrator/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=update&task=wizard
