Possible to change the area where BREADCRUMBS appear?

As I am using a background slider module ... and therefore the breadcrumb area is not seen in a good way.

I would need to have the background in that area (position mainbody_top) in another colour then transparent as it is today. How can I do this in the best way?

PS: I would like to use the override.css funtionaility to solve it

Sorry, but I need this element to be enabled to see it and check what can be done with it's design.
