Can you please help me? Using Storefront template, Vimeo videos will not play on Windows Phone. They work fine on desktop, but only a black image appears on Windows mobile. YouTube videos work fine on both desktop AND Windows Phone, but Vimeo does not.

Here is another example where they work on desktop, but DO NOT WORK on Windows Phone:

Thanks in advance,
Edwin

I don't think that this is anything related with our template. It is probably problem with Vimeo code so you should contact with Vimeo support.

Thanks for your reply. According to Vimeo it's a problem with the template's responsive design:

Hi Edwin, looks like this is an issue with the responsive design on your site - the player isn't scaling properly on *any* device, not just Windows Phone. I checked on iPhone 5s with Safari and the Moto X with Chrome for Android, in addition to IE for both WP 8 and WP 8.1.

I think I will just try another template. Hopefully others won't encounter this problem.

Could you please confirm. I just tried playing your vimeo video on the Simplicity template demo site at gavick.com and the vimeo video DOES NOT work on Windows Phone.

http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/simplicity/

Also, Youtube videos seem to work on gavick.com

This is the same problem I'm having with my website based on your Storefront template. Youtube videos work, Vimeo videos do not. Can you please explain?

Edwin

Template can't overwrite your embeeded code. You can try to remove this code :
Code: Select all
 max-width: 100%!important;
from line 97 in template.css file because that's is the only rule for this player which comes from template. Did you check the same article on Beez?
