Hi,

For some reason, I can only receive a message wrote on the contact form widget, if the user fill up the email field with my own email address, instead of his own. If the user fill up the email field with his own e-mail address, he gets an error message.

I did check the settings article (https://demo.gavick.com/wordpress/john/?page_id=1450), and I even tried to insert mailto="[email protected]" into the shortcode to make sure the widget is getting the right email address, but it didn't work. Also, my administrator e-mail address is set correctly.

How can I make this work?

Thanks, in advance.

Hi,

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website and back-end access via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it?

Hi,

Could you send me also FTP access? Then I'll check if the wp_mail default wordpress function works properly.

Hi,

I'm not receiving any e-mail from the contact form anymore, even if I insert my own email (used to work).
Now I'm receiving mails sent from plugins (like SwiftSecurity and WP-Mail-SMTP) only... on the backend.

Please change the shortcode mailto attribute to your own email address, because I've received 2 messages yesterday to my e-mail address from your website.

It's working now, I made the change on the shortcode and activated the WP-Mail-SMTP.
Thanks Piotr!
By the way, may I ask you what changes have you made? Just in case if I face a similar issue on the future. :)

I've changed headers of wp_mail function from John/template.contact.php file (please compare this file with the original one to see changes).

It's probably some server side issue, because on our websites I can't see this issue.
