Custom Sidebars on subpages of John Wordpress template

Hello,

I need to use different sidbars with menu and other widgets on the subpages not just one sidebar which fits all.

I tried several wordpress extensions like "Content Aware Sidebars" oder "Custom Sidebars" etc. to show custom sidebars but the John template seems to be different from other wordpress templates. The John template always shows the same standard sidebar.

How can I use custom sidebars with the John template?
