Frontpage header

Pretty basic question here. I'm installed and ready to begin customizing and I can't seem to figure out how to edit the markup used in the "header-1" on the frontpage. I'm editing one of the three "header-" posts, and nothing is changing on the front end. I see that "header-1" is selected in the John configuration - and I've tried changing it to one of the other two. Nothing I edit is showing up.

I have changed the color and other menu configs to make sure it's not a rights/permissions issue.

What am I missing here?

John theme have two options to confiugure your homepage - you can use widgets or posts from frontpage category. If you are using widgets - just switch widget from the header widget area (use header2 or header2 from inactive widgets) - or use textw widget content from this article:

If you are using posts and frontpage template, it's enough to change header tag from John -> Template Options -> Frontpgae tab.
