Error installing QuickStart package

Hello,
I bought John and trying to install Quick Start package.

I'm sure the data to connect to the db are correct, but during installation it makes "remove old tables" step, but when on "creating new db tables" step, it stops and close the script, returning back to the previous page.

I'm trying to install on a win machine with xampp, so no issue on permission.

Any idea?

Hello,

Did you try to install the Quickstart on empty database? Without removing old tabels, etc.

Yes,
I tried both removing old tables / backing up old tables.... really both times the db was new and empty, but both times it failed.

It's local installation, so I'm not able to check the issue.. Did you try to install other quickstart packages? Which PHP version are you using?
