Problems with John S template

Good morning,

I just want to know how can I fix these problems:
- GK5 News Show Pro, when I proceed to publish this module, occurs an error 1064, that means that I can not finish my web with my blog and my works
- Main menu always appears in my page and I just want to show only when I scroll down (like in demo)
- Scroll down button is not in its place

- Some icons does not appear (like in "Didn't you know module)
- There is some error in XML file: htdocs/public/www/templates//typography/
failed to load external entity "/htdocs/public/www/templates//typography/"

- When I publish GK5 News Show Pro, appears an error 1064

- Finally, appears Home title and I don't want to see it

I fixed the problem with the scroll and the issue of the icons.

But I still have the problem of the main menu bar that appears always, the error 1064 when I publish GK5 News Show Pro module, and it appears the word "Home" in the middle of the page.

The issue is usually caused with wrong configuration of NSP. But if that is not an issue, please try going through every of this steps:

0) Install new current version of NSP GK5 (re-install)
1) Open module in edit mode
2) Click Refresh button in your browser
3) Change data source to another from list
4) Change order of showing items
5) Save changes - check on front page
6) If okey, change data source back to option which you have at the beginning


I have been working in my site, and I fixed it. But I still have the problem with the main menu bar, that does not hide on the header position. Do you know why?

You are missing frontpage homepage suffix to make the menu show and hide.

Thanks, I could fix all problems, but I have one more: when I put photos to show my works (news show pro) there are all pixelated, but when I open them on a new window it's ok.

Do you know why?

Probably your thumbnail settings are wrong.
Could you please post an url to your site where I could see this issue?

looks fine.

Now I replace them on filezilla, but in a while they will pixelated again. I do not why

Also please provide me with one original image you have used - I need to test few things.

You can provide the link with use of dropbox/wetransfer and pm me the link to the image.

After changing k2 settings -> images tab, "Item generic image width (in px). Used in user pages as well as tag, search & date listings." to 800 px value, images are generated correctly. Please replace all your images with original ones and the problem will disappear.
The issue was with original "300px" value of this setting, which caused images to firstly be downsized to 300lx, and then to show them on homepage - upsized to 600px.

Or, which is even better idea (and what I finally did), is to change in module nsp settings -> k2 additional settings tab -> base image size setting to XL to get the images from largest available size.
