Hi, I need to install the web in two languages and this template does not provide facilities for it.
There is no start menu assigned, and is an essential language plugin requirement, nor is there a module position for languages.
Any advice?

Thank you.

Yes, but you have 2 options:
1) Add language switcher module inside menu as a menu item.
or
2) Create/add new module position.

Please read:
1) https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... -switcher/
2) https://www.gavick.com/documentation/un ... into-menu/
3) https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... -position/

Use your imagination, there always is a way:
1) use this same menu module, but with different menu items for different languages
2) Use different template (clone) for each language, then on each you will be able to use different main menu
