Hi there peeps, I've got a problem with the google analytics code on the template. It was working on the previous website I had, but since I've changed it to the John S Template there are no reports on the visitors whatsoever. What could be the problem?

Regards, :?:

Hi

This is interested. I do not think template has anything to do with this. But please compare the GA code in /layout/blocks/head.php file and copy from the template you were using previously. What was the name of the template before?

Hi

We were not using a template, a guy who knew how to design a website designed it for us. I was gonna upload it so that you can see it but we removed it early this year. The GA code is found under template manager correct?

Hi

If You are not using template than do not put it into template settings, because it will not work :) Add the code generated on GA site directly into <head></head> section.

Hi thanks for the response Champ! I decided to paste the GA code on the Header module under Custom HTML. I want to see whether it's going to work or not. #I'm only an accountant

Hi

Custom HTML module may not work. Editors will probably strip the code thinking it's a malware or hack attack. Please do as I said and put it into <head></head> section.
