Unable to add new categories to Check Out My Hot Works menu

I am playing with the quickstart version of John template and I am unable to get new K2 categories (and their articles) to display in the Check Out My Hot Works menu bar. I've edited the NSP GK5 module in the mainbody area several times and verified that my new categories have been selected. I can rename/add/delete the categories that came with the quickstart and the changes show on the frontpage. I can also unpublish these categories and the changes show on the frontend but if I create a category or clone one of the existing categories and add it to NSP GK5 I still cannot get it to display.

What am I doing wrong?

So only cloned categories are not working or all new ones? Maybe it is time offset issue and you just don't see last article. Please try to change time offset in News Show Pro settings to -12/+12 and check whether the same happen.

I cannot get any new categories to display whether they are cloned or created new from scratch. Altering the time offset did not fix the problem.

Could you show me screenshot with your module configuration in Data Source tab and the front-end result?

In this case Photos II is a clone of the Photos Cat with cloned Articles.

I'll also PM you the admin details for the site.

Maybe just the title cover the name of this category on front-end - when only one category is selected it is the same? Please note that cloned articles are usually unpublished by default.

I've change category name from Photos II to GK Test and then go to article list view… this is what I see » screenshot

At least article have to be published to see some content on module - right now all are inactive.

hi, i have a problem publishing articles to some categories already done in the template as well as new categories.
the thing is i can feature de article and the category to the home page anda the thumb shows, but when i click on the image it support to take you to the article and it doesn´t. it stays in the home page.

why is that ? is there something to configure in the module ?
please help as im trying to finish this site.
