I've noticed demo of JohnS template contains only landscape orientation images in CHECK OUT MY WORK gallery. As some of my work is in portrait orientation - this does not looks good  The image thumbnail becomes cropped ugly and in full view expands to 100% of the width therefore pushes the heading of the article way bellow any screen...

Any solution to this or do I have to crop all my portrait works to landscape orientation? I'm looking for a solution when both orientation can be used please

Hi

I need also an access to joomla panel. With the settings as You have right now it's not much flexible to make a modification.

Hi

Crucial in this case are thumbnails settings in module configuration. When You disable "Create thumbnails" than images will show in full height without cropping (as I set it now), but maybe You will be able to select a good image dimentions.

Disabling "creating thumbnails" will unfortunatelly destroys the grid look of gallery as the portait/landscape images will not fit into expected rows/collumns :-( Works only if all images are the same proportions & orientation.

Could you explain what controls the sizes of images in those four stages of viewing? (four clicks)?

1 click - thumbnails "my works" (in modules>thumbnails size setting is "links thumbnails dimensions ?)
2 click - overlay popup in "my works" (in modules>thumbnails size setting is "thumbnails dimensions ?)
3 click - view in the "blog" layout (image size setting? how to control width?)
4 click - pop out image floating (how to control image size setting or disable popup?)

Thank you

Hi

As I look at Your images they are not even so I do not know how to make them fit without cutting some of them. You should be able to select best settings in image thumbnails dimentions.

For a popup image You choose size by selecting in module what image type to select, "generic" is set as default. Sizes for this images can be set in K2 parameters of in a category of this article directly.

I cannot see images described as 3&4, can You tell me where to see it ?

The numbers should represent numbers of clicks - from template as the image gets larger and larger :-)
Click 2

Click 3

Hi

As I understand correctly.
Click 2 is a click in module which uses "generic" size of image.

Click 3 would open an article which should be using "large"

Click 4 must be an image popup with "large" again.

All this widths can be set in K2 parameters or in module/k2 category You can select a different image size to use.
