Responsive image sizes

This plugin does amazing things to my images that is just NOT done by Virtuemart.

The home page contains the plugin where the images (despite being various dimensions) all look centred and the same size - http://cimc.capitalhosting.co.uk

However, Virtuemart shows the difference in image dimensions (portrait, landscape)

Is there anyway I apply this same system within category list view?

I cannot get to vm category layout. Each vm page is leading to 404 no page error. Does this happen because of some changes or after an update to vm or joomla ?
