Hi,

I am getting the following error:
Code: Select all
Deprecated: Non-static method NSP_GK5_Article_Format::generateLayout() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /public_html/modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/data_sources/com_k2/controller.php on line 32

Please can you let me know if there is a solution for this?

I am running php 5.6 on CentOS 6.

I think that's it - I've had to remove the error reporting code from the template as editing the details in WHM didn't have any effect unfortunately. I can live with that!

Thank you so much Cyberek

The mod seems to work initially, but it just kills the website for some reason causing a blank page after a while (despite not making any changes).

Disabling the addon brings the website back to life. Re-enabling kills it off again straight away.

The website that this quickstart (events) is runnign on is a dedicated server, do you reckon this can be resolved by reverting to php 5.4 or php 5.5?

I'm a little stumped, as I've got this addon running on other servers (shared ones), running on php 5.5 & 6, both work with zero problems.

I'm not known to such issues. Nobody else didn't report anything similar. Disabling error reporting usually fixes the issue.
But if blank screen happens - then you should reenable the error reporting and see whats goes to the screen.

Hi there,

I don't get anything show with error reporting. The log file just shows what you have.

I can give you admin access if you want to the joomla install?

It literally has had no changes done besides installing from the QuickStart, besides:

  • Upgrading to Joomla 3.4.8
  • Upgrading the NSP Pro addon to the latest version
  • Installing Akeeba Back Up / Admin Tools
  • Installing RS Firewall + RS Forms Pro

I have installed it on its own without addons, but it works initially, displaying errors on the module area, but then shortly after the entire site goes blank.

The source code only shows the below for the entire page;

Is only frontpage site blank or all the others also?
Please also check if disabling NSP modules on frontpage brings the site back to live.

Hi again,

Pages where NSP isn't enabled all work absolutely great

Code: Select all
fahemco.com/index.php/sponsors

Whereas /index.php does have NSP modules enabled, and that throws up a blank page. If I disable NSP modules from the home page, it jumps back to life.

One last thing - is the NSP module updated? What J version are you using? What is NSP data source on that module?

You inadvertently maaaaaaaaaay have fixed this!

I tried to find the version of NSP I was using, but clicking the Configuration checker, it showed GD library was not available.

I've recompiled Apache to include it and it is alive! Well, at least so far. I'll wait a few hours to see if it kills the page off after a while, which is what it was doing initially, rather than just blank page me entirely.
