News Slider not rendering content correctly

So after many many tests, it seems News Show Pro can only render article content from K2.. I can live with this limitation, however it seems to duplicate the first few article content overlapping each other. not sure why. I've checked all the options and nothing seems to cover this.

I get this sort of behaviour:

If I try ANY other module for the News Pro, at best I can only get the article headers to show.

What I want is for 5 "pages" of 1 (random) article each to show on the main page, with the full article text (no images) shown truncated down to 350 characters, and the classic "read more" option.. I'm close to it with news slider, but it does a massive overlap/ of the first two articles and seems to duplicate 2 - 4 of the articles.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

I can see You have disabled the articles You shown on screenshot. Can I please ask to make it look the same again so I'll be able to look at it and help to fix it ?
