mod_news_pro_gk5 shows as an entry in the Joomla Administrator backend Components menu. When I try to select it I get error - 404 Component not found. How can I remove it from the menu? Is it in the database?

I just upgraded my website from Joomla 2.5.28 to 3.3.6.
Gavick Storebox 3.15.1 template

Hi

It must have got there by accident. We have never implemented it to use this menu. You need to go to table menu in database and simply remove the row with a title "mod-news-pro-gk5".

Yeah, same thing happens to me

I keep removing the entries from the database, but they show up again every time I update a gavick module, it's a little bit annoying...

Actually, to be fair, is not a Gavick module issue, apparently. If you see in the image attached by me in the last post, there's a "jcemediabox" as well, that's from the plugin and shuldn't be there in that menu. So it should be something with the joomla.

Hi

Sorry, but really cannot help here. There is nothing in module to indicate that and those are the only 2 reports of such behaviour I've encountered, so this looks to be a very specific issue. Probably related with websites which were updated form 2.5 to 3.3.

I would start with an update to joomla 3.4.1, it's the latest version so this problem may be fixed already. Also an update to NSP module will be required (after an update, resave all NSP's modules settings, there were some fields added and without them some errors may occurs).
