Background color module ?

I did not find it with firebug

The black strips are there in image itself, not in module background. They are there simply because your original image had strange aspect ratio and during preparation of thumbnails additional space deeded to be added.

You can simp,y change this colour in module (NSP) setting - thumbnails section.
