Date function not emty when left emty

When i try to leave the "Grid news - Portal mode settings" - "Date format" emty, it returns automaticly til "f J , Y"
How do I fix that so I can have this field emty on the webpage - see: http://abrahamkaffebar.no/joomla/

Had to code line 649 and 741 in mod_news_pro_GK5.xml from "f J, Y" to blank.
And then i worked.
The "leave blank" option in the module config does not work (in my installation)
