I have the same problem:

Notice: Undefined index: k2_get_extra_fields in /var/www/t/u/u46862/public_html/_sub/new/modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/data_sources/com_k2/model.php on line 335

Fatal error: Class 'NSP_GK5_com_content_View' not found in /var/www/t/u/u46862/public_html/_sub/new/modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/tmpl/view.php on line 95

I used the News 2 quickstart package for Joomla 2.5 and make an extension update, nothing else... (Joomla! 2.5.24 Stable , PHP 5.4.31)

How to reinstall the module? I can not find the old version here...

I inadvertently sent a VIP support request (my subscription plan does not include VIP support), and the response I got from Gavick was:

Hello,

Thank you for your email. For future reference please note that this ticket system is dedicated for owners of our Developer membership only; users who hold a Personal, Business or Lifetime subscription should get in touch with our team via our official support forum: http://www.gavick.com/forums.html whereas users of our free products may ask for assistance via the issues section of our GitHub repositories: http://github.com/GavickPro

In this case I will be able to make an exception, but please do ensure that any future queries are directed through the official support forum / GitHub issues section as noted above, or upgrade your license to the Developer membership.

Regarding your issue:

Most probably you are using very old PHP 5.2 on your hosting - Unfortunately preparing a version for PHP 5.2 won't be possible due lack of the late static binding - in this case you have to use version 1.6.1 (you can download it here: https://github.com/GavickPro/News-Show- ... 043266.zip ) or upgrade PHP on your server to PHP 5.3.

However, like the others here, I have a more recent version of PHP (5.4.19) installed, and everything was fine before the update to NSP GK5 1.6.2. The update broke my site. I will be downgrading per the recommendation, but Gavick needs to rollback or fix the changes, as they are obviously problematic.

1.6.1 did NOT fix the problem

Unfortunately, downgrading to the previous version did not work for me. I am not sure why.
